|
Every automated identification procedure is based on coding and decoding data. In barcode technology, data is coded in the form of patterns of bars. With RFID technology, in contrast, coding is binary and the code is stored in the memory of the transponder. Auto-ID is the abbreviation for “automatic identification”.
