| EPCglobal Inc. |
|
EPCglobal Inc. was established in 2003 from the Auto-ID Center, in order to put the scientific results of the Auto-ID Center on a solid economic footing and to ensure a cross-industry and international application. In addition to the Universities of Cambridge, Adelaide, Keio und St. Gallen, approximately 100 renowned companies from the technology sector as well as industrial and trading companies from the consumer goods sector all participate in the Auto-ID Center. EPCglobal Inc. is supported by GS1, the merger of EAN International and the Uniform Code Council (UCC). Nationally, EPCglobal is represented by the relevant national GS1 organization (in Germany by GS1 Germany).
