| EAN/UCC standards |
EAN/UCC standards are globally established, standardized identification and communications procedures.
The basic elements of the EAN system are:
Identification systems (e.g. the ID numbers ILN, EAN, NVE)
Auto-ID systems (automatic data acquisition on the basis of EAN 13, EAN 128, RSS barcodes and radio frequency technology RFID etc.)
Electronic communications standards (e.g. EANCOM®, WebEDI, XML etc.)
