| EAS technologies |
|
EAS technologies (electronic article security technologies) are goods security systems. The goods to be protected are provided with special tags that can be detected by the recipient system. Such a recipient system is usually found in the point-of-sale or exit areas of stores and it triggers an alarm if someone approaches (within a certain range) or leaves the sales area with the security tag. The most commonly used methods are based on acoustic-magnetic technology (AM), radio frequency technology (RF) and electromagnetic technology (EM).
